Intaglio

Intaglio is a printmaking process in which ink is held in the recessed areas of a matrix, such as copper, zinc, or plexiglass. Techniques like engraving and etching are classic examples of intaglio. In my practice, I primarily use photo-etching, often working with photopolymer plates to achieve fine detail and rich tonal variations.
